About

John Falko And The Morrigan's Tears

John Falko, a baritone singer and italian composer, has had an eclectic three-decade career spanning from the music industry to film and television, where he excelled as an actor and radio-television host for national broadcasters.

Inspired by the dark folk sounds of bands like Death in June, Spiritual Front, Mark Lanegan, and the punk energy of Dropkick Murphys,The pogues, Falko founded The Morrigan's Tears.

This group skillfully blends new rock with the allure of Celtic tradition. Collaborating with skilled musicians in Celtic folk and new rock genres, the band has created a unique sound, becoming a prominent entity in the contemporary music scene.

With their new album, "Irish Prayers," the band delves into the rich world of ancient prayers tied to the main Sabbats of the Celtic Wheel of the Year, representing crucial moments in the annual cycle, marking seasonal changes, and celebrating the connection between humanity and nature. The album explores themes of spiritual connection, life and death cycles, and the constant flow of vital energy through original compositions.
